Zachary Alexander Bagans was born in Washington, D.C., on April 5, 1977. The young Zak became interested in the paranormal when he and his mother, Nancy, went to garage sales looking for “unusual and spooky items.” He is the youngest of three half-siblings, including Phil and Sky, and has a sister named Meredith. Upon graduating from Glenbard West High School in Illinois in 1995, Bagans enrolled for eight months at Western Michigan University but dropped out after that.
